A Hackathon By Muslim Women, For Our Community
✅ Collaborate with other Muslim women
✅ Develop your skills and build your experience
✅ Participate from anywhere in the world, on your schedule
At Tech Sisters, we’re on a mission to help and support Muslim women on their path to successful and enduring careers in tech.
We know what it feels like to be the only one like you in the room, whether it’s as a woman, person of colour, mother, or hijabi.
These layers of being “the only” build on each other and can feel very isolating.
But at Tech Sisters, we see you.
We know what you’re going through because we’ve been there ourselves.
And we have a community of sisters who want to help you.
Tech Sisters Hackathon: Innovation with a Purpose
In today’s job market, we see our sisters struggling more than ever. To address this, we run an annual hackathon alongside our weekly Job Search Clinic and skills development challenges to give our members practical and actionable career support.
What makes this Hackathon so unique is our commitment to represent and accommodate the incredibly diverse needs of our community.
Traditional Hackathons often don’t work for Tech Sisters members because of location and time constraints. That’s why we’ve made this Hackathon entirely online and spanning the whole month of November.
The next most common barrier in our community is a lack of confidence in technical skills. Our Hackathon is designed to be supportive through carefully curated teams, regular mentoring, and expert-led support sessions.
You’ll finish this Hackathon with new skills, a stronger portfolio, and the satisfaction of collaborating with an amazing team of Muslim women.
